Cool stars

At work I’ve been dealing with conference reports from an astronomical society series. The individual titles range from the strange-sounding to the strangely beautiful. Some of my favorites:

Observing dark energy

Confrontation between stellar pulsation and evolution

Wild stars in the Old West

Pulsars: problems and progress

Peculiar versus normal phenomena in A-type and related stars

Luminous blue variables

Cosmic dust, near and far

Blue stragglers

Stellar collisions, mergers, and their consequences

And one of my faves, since I’m twelve and no one can hear me snort (or fart) in my cubicle:
Extragalactic gas at low redshift

What fun I have at work! Please hold the jealousy, all right?
